Has anyone used a Rhodesian Ridgeback as a big game hound and had any success? I've been debating giving one a try in my pack and looking for any info.
THanks

Re: Rhodesian Ridgeback as big game hound
I've only had mine for 6months or so, but have had alot of luck with racoon. She is the only hound I have, so haven't gone after cat or bear yet. Based on what ive seen about her disposition though i think she would add gritt to any pack. Not afraid of anything. Took on a charging mama moose one day & didn't hardly flinch.
They certainly have the speed and stamina to go full out all day. In fact, could be a problem of getting too far ahead of the other dogs and getting into trouble, depending on what type of hounds u run?
If u could get ur hands on a good one, i think it could only add speed and gritt to ur pack. JMO
