drahthaar as a coyote dog

Postby hillbilly boy » Fri Aug 14, 2015 12:23 pm

hey you all looking for anyone that mite have hunted with a drahthaar and wanted to see how they would do as a coyote dog the reasons I think they could do it are

1 they have I high pry drive even with game that can fight
2 and they run quit until they see the game so they tend to bay up game pretty fast
3 and the mine one I like is they don't hunt out as fare as a hound so they can be keep up with
but I would love to hear from anyone who has hunted with them

I have seen the wirehaired and crosses of the wirehair do some amazing things. From running bear to treeing raccoon. They are great trackers. I'm sure that a man could get them to run a coyote, I doubt they'd catch one on the ground though. I bet they'd make short work of one if it did though.

from what I have read they don't open up on game until they get close and see it I would think a coyote would not have a lot of time to get ahead of the dogs and would have to bay up
