The bill made it out of committee and is waiting to be voted on by the WA. senate. Our session is extended till April 24. So the bill needs to voted on by then and if it passes the Gov needs to sign it for the bill to become a law.

I heard the governor already said she was going to veto it. Is that not the case?

This governor has signed this bill once before. If we were getting a perminant law she may not sign it, but since we are only getting a 5 year extention I would expect her to allow it.
