I was just wondering what some of the excuses were that so many hunters weren't joing the clubs. I always here that the Council wasn't doing enough, maybe you need to join and shake the pot a little. Thanks Darvin Ecklund for stepping up to the plate. Lets all join together and raise some hell in the state. Especially now that they want to take the coyote hunting with hounds in our state , maybe coons are next.

Buddy it was me that talked to you about the Nite Lite at the banquet and yes I used to hunt with Tory. He is a heck of a bear hunter , I lost touch with those guys in the last few years.

Re: Join the Washington State Hound Council & OUSDA.
If you are wanting to join the Washington State Hound Council, go to the web site which is washington state hound council, follow the links to the closest club . Or you can join just the hound council and not be connected to any clubs. Just PM me or call Chester O'Brien at 360-425-8367. He will get you joined up or get a hold of Darvin Ecklund sorry I dont have his #, I'll try and get it.

This message is for anyone wanting to join the Washington State Hound Council. If you would like to join the council and not a local club it's simple. Dues are $15 for each individual. You will be voted in on the next council meeting after you submit your dues. After the meeting in which you were voted in, you will be able vote on any issue that comes up in the council. As long as you don't have any game violations you will most likely be voted in . If not your dues will be refunded.
SEND DUES TO:
Chet O'Brien

Longview, WA 98632
Make your checks out to the WASHINGTON STATE HOUND COUNCIL

Re: Join the Washington State Hound Council & OUSDA.
Hey Y'all...
I have some ideas to get the ball rolling, I just became secretary of the Washington State Coonhound Assoc. This last month I have writen to virtually every manufacture of hound gear asking for donations. This week I have started to get a few responses back. This next year I hope on getting more people involved in our club as well. I know that WSCA is under Hound Council. Our Rep. to the council Carl, I'm sure ya know of.
I've noticed that the events have beacme more Breeder oriented. Alot of people with papered dogs wanting Ch tiltes to breed. Nothing wrong with that, i'm doing it myself. However, I know ALOT of hounders in my area with crosses mixed dogs bred for doing a deed. And that's what they do. No reason for them to join a club, well I have plans to get those hillbillies interested...
I'm with ya'll on getting this in action.
They NOW HAVE TAKEN OUR COYOTES TO... And most houndsmen I know don't even bate an eye. Or vote their opinion. Let's get the ball rollin or the coons WILL BE NEXT, and yer hounds will become lap dogs.
I may not be able to put my all in to the Hound Council, This year i'm wrapped up in WSCA, but I would still like to be in attendance. Our next event is up at Jones Pond June 13th-14th open to ALL dogs, with a bear drag race.
Would Darvin or someone else from the Council send me a message, i'd like to get some more information...
Thanks, Dustin
