There is a business meeting this Monday, 10/29/07, 7:30PM at Drew & Lindsey's.
If you aren't close by to Vancouver area, no biggie about attending, but if you have any interest in UKC events in WA, please PM me.

If you have any ideas about where to hold the January event, please PM me. It's not looking good for finding a spot to meet at and post in Bloodlines. We won't stay there for the BS or FT, that will be held elsewhere, but that elsewhere is not available all night for the NH.

We have to have an address to post in Bloodlines by 11/1/07 for the January 2008 events.

Fire Departments are asking too much individual responsibility or only allowing us to be there 2 hours.
I live in Oregon, and my husband said no way at our house anyway (he still cares what the neighbors think )
Entertained idea of meeting at a restrauant, but since it sells liquor, too, that won't float for UKC rules.
I am not going to sit in my Jeep all night at a rest area, so that idea is out!

We are focusing on SW Washington area because that seems to be where most the people who participate live and that's where Daybreak Park is. Daybreak Park outside Battle Ground is where we are having the BS and FT.

Ideas welcomed and wanted!

Thanks, Libby

Cascade is in spanaway. Towards Tacoma. Its a ways from you but they used to let WSCHA use it for free and there wasn't any time restrictions or anything. I don't know who the president is now. It was Mike Cassidy when I lived there and Bill Page was really the one in charge. Thats been 5 years ago and mike just moved back so I know he's not in charge anymore. Bill Page lives on the east side now so I know he's not in charge. Call the president of the washington state hound council and he'll be able to tell you for sure.

Libby, make sure you get with me about your dates up there, and keep in mind the dates we've already set (Feb 8-9, Mar 14-15). We've got a meeting tonight and will be setting the rest of our UKC dates for the year, to include 2 RQE's I believe. Might make the Feb date above our first one, and looking at Apr or May for the other.
I'll let you know tomorrow what we come up with but of course we'll work with you guys and Mary's Peak as much as possible to avoid conflicts. Guess that means we'll be re-considering our Feb date. :)
Any idea what you all up there are thinking about for the RQE? Still planning to combine with Mary's Peak and hold both in OR on the same weekend??

Thanks Nora!
I checked the Mary's Peak website and I hope those dates they have posted are final. I've got so much white-out and scribbling on all my calendars it looks like kids have been playing with them.
I also see our Feb date doesn't conflict with Mary's Peak, so that's good!
Now if we can also avoid scheduling on top of any of the Utah club's major events, we'll be good!
I hope you'll be able to make it down to at least one of our RQE's. Also, if you'd ever like to judge down here LMK and I can see what our club will do about paying some expenses. I forgot...are you a MOH also?

Well, it looks like UKC would like all the clubs out here to have a two night RQE. I opened the paper work for Feb events and see there are two nights there (Feb 1 and 2)

Have spoken with the VP of Montana Fed Houndsmen, George. He called here looking to find out when each club is planning on having their RQEs and getting another couple for MT. He said he hadn't connected with you yet, CalBlu. They are looking at Apirl or May I think. But they really do not want to say anything til they know what other clubs already have planned. Call me for his phone number, CalBlu. I don't think I have your number in my new phone  I never thought I'd ever get a new phone, but now have a sim card and 15 y/o daughter to help me. My number is 503-722-1558. Please call or send me your phone number.

I still do not get notified of new messages on this board...and I swear, Oh, Powers That Be, it looks like 'enabled' is checked on my side!

Wished I'd spoken to you before your meeting, Chawn.
