all i can tell you is what i have been told how much truth i have no clue.
and not trying to start a fight or get any ones hopes up

in november of this coming fall a bill will be placed in front of the legislation to open the spring bear hunts for the timber companys to the same or simalar process as the east side cougar hunts ( brian beard ) is the one working on this as the conversation went on some as most a vearing away from the use of hounds or are limiting who they use due to some issues with other folks the only down fall to what i heard was the bill would still warent the use of dogs but make it f&w could check on us easyer so we would need to call prior to hunting i have looked and am unable to find any thing but from what the wfpa has told me they are aware that hounds are the only affective tool to reduce bear damage snairing is to exspensive and feeding works but still doesnt controll the problem just slows it down a bit as a long meeting went on with some folks what i learned and as we all know what has happend with the two beargullbladders cases has not made it look good for any one the other issue was the recruitment of a younger genaration of hound hunters for they are worried that the old are getting older and with no one to replace them this causes concern but that was something to be argued with but number one is the wardens in this state and mainly REGION 6 south portion they are so against the hound man it is a joke they fear they have no way to control us and with the public not backing us it realy does not look good but from what i do know there is alot more rooting for us than we know just to scared or dont care to mention anything
