We are going to be discussing a Buddy Hunt, whether or not if we are going to host the banquet, and we need ideas on to where we can hold our monthly meetings since Godfathers pizza in shelton has closed down. We will also be discussing what happend at the hound council meeting. There is a hound council membership drive going on for 2011, anyone who joins through a club or as a individual will be entered into a drawing to win a Garmin GPS tracking system (receiver and one collar) drawing to be held at the first hound council meeting of 2012, if you are interested in joining the washington state hound council, even if you are out of state, please contact me and I can get you all the info!

How much are the dues and does the drawing only apply to first time members or do older members qualify as well? I was a member until 2002.

The dues for the hound council are 15$ for individuals and that would get you entered into the drawing for the receiver and the collar for 2012, plus you would be supporting us hound hunters here in washington state and for that I thank you, if you would like to join the hound council let me know and I will private message you the address to send your money to. As for old members vs new, I believe its open to both new and old, as long as you pay your dues. Thank you, Kelly

Meeting went very well, we set up some dates for our field trials-march 26th and 27th to be held in matlock, another field trial is scheduled for April 16th and 17th again in matlock. As for the banquet-thats still up in the air as to who is hosting it, either OTHA or Lower columbian sportsmen club, will post as soon as I know. We are also doing a buddy hunt this coming weekend friday Jan 21st, saturday 22nd with the weigh in on sunday the 23rd at noon at OTHA's president Ron's house, with a bbq following. 10$ per person entry with having to either pay or make a commitment before friday!!! This buddy hunt is a little different in that there will be numbers written on ping pong balls and we will draw one ball out, the coon that is the closest to the weight written on the ball wins 50% of the entry money, so the biggest coon may not actually win, it could be the smallest or one of medium weight. The idea of this is to hopefully not shoot out all coons in the woods with the hope of "maybe the next one will be bigger". If you have any questions, please just ask and I will do my best to answer. Also WWC is needing some help with their booth at the puyallup sportsmen show Jan 26th-30th. Please contact me and I can get you the info.
