Lower Columbia Sportsmen will be host a water race along with a treeing contest, single dog, and pack. Fees are 5.50 for treeing contest , single. 10 for pack tree. And 5.50 for water race. Hound council rules apply. Food will be served all day. Entries close at 9am Sat. And Sunday.

The grounds are the old pond in Ranier, OR on Hwy 30 towards the coast. I will get an address up as soon as I get one. Many people have raced here a lot in years passed. Camping will be allowed on the site.

Should be a good one, the grounds are cleaned up an there is plenty of room for everyone to camp. The bear race is over a mile an half long. An there is a lot of cover if it rains. Food is cheap an so our entries. It's also a very long swim. Hope to see everybody there...

How busy is Highway 30, and how close is it to where the bear race is held?

30 isn't that busy, the race is run away from it. We used to hold event at this pond for years an never had a problem.....

West coast telemetry will be there Saturday from 12 til 6. If you need name tags or new collars Gary will be there to take care of your needs.

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped put this event on.

Thank you Brad Parker for allowing us to use these grounds.
Thank you to Jason Anderson, Frank Anderson, Brian Cerelli, and Tim Williams for running this event with out a flaw.
Thank you to Tony Lockens for donating a new motor for the pully system that ran none stop for two days with out a problem.
Thank you Sandi and Martha Anderson and girls for making the wonderful food. I heard nothing but rave reviews about the kitchen and the prices.
Thank you to Susan Cerelli and Lynda O'Brien for doing the book work.
Thank you to Johny Young for the coon.

Thank you to all who judged cooked helped on the clean up days. With out all the help this would not have been such a success. If I left someone out I'm sorry and Thank You for your support.

The team work LCSA provided was awsome and proves we are a club of GREAT idividuals and team players. I believe we are a club that is going to make a difference in the hounding environment now and in the future.

Thank you so much,

Mic O'Brien
