Re: DC30 Collars

catdogs
You have all the good idea!!! I like the shrink tube on the ant. I just got the rest of the collars the other day. Now all I have is a big mess that I can't figure out how to use. I tried reading the directions and got more confused. I hope it isn't that hard to use when I get in the woods ...

Re: snowmobile dog box

My female that died these year like to ride on the snowmobile more that in the trailer. I'm in the process of training my pup now and that is one of the things that I make them learn to ride and not freak out. It is superising how many times you use it if your dog will ride. Now my pup thinks she is ...

Re: snowmobile dog box

I've always wondered if it would work to mount somthing on your tunnel. How many dogs can you carry? My new Dragon has about 3' of tunnel behind the seat but it says 15 lbs max?

Catdogs
I read your post and I can see it all in my head. Dog sled tipped over, hitch broke off and stuck in two feet of snow been there and done that. That is why I got rid of my old cargo sled. With the hitch being hinged there is just to much movment and it makes for a hard ride for the dogs and ...

Re: snowmobile dog box

I think that the box was just a little under 100 lbs and the seld was about 50lbs. That sled pulls so good that it is easier to pull then the old cargo sleds. And it rides really nice, very smooth. I think that it was 34x45 I can check I usually just put two dogs in it but I have had three and they ...

Re: snowmobile dog box

Here are some pictures of my sled set-up. I'm trying two because I don't know if I did it right or not. If it works I will put a couple more on of the compartment.

Re: snowmobile dog box

I got my sled from orion. You can look at them at www.orionsled.com they call it a tote sled. Then I had a guy build an aluminum box for it. I've used it two years now the dogs seem to like the ride and it has never tiped over on me and pulls good through deep snow. It was kinda an expensive set-up ...

Re: One eyed dog

The guy that got me started in this mess had a one eyed dog. His name was slew foot and that dog caught alot of game (bear, bobcat, lion and coon that is when we could still hunt), I think that he was about 5 or 6 when he lost his eye. I don't even remember how he lost it, the story always changed ...

Re: Housing Hounds in a Kennel togetgher or on a chain alone?

I keep all mine together in a 60x120 kennel. Also I built an 8x8 dog house with a hall in the middle and six seperate compartments. Then I buried it in the ground 2 feet deep so the roof was at ground level. Just the heat from the ground helps keep them warm in the winter and cooler in the summer. I ...

They are still just hanging out in a couple of draniages so we can still hunt just have to be carfull. It sounds like alot of you have to deal with them and have been for some time. Does ...
