Re: Idaho Houndsmen need your help
I don't look on this site often, and rarely post. From what I've read on this thread it seems most of, if not all the input has come from the Southern portion of the state, where quota's do exist. Here in the Northern part it's a free for all, no quota's. We're basically left to manage ourselves ...

Re: bluetick pups training
Be more specific about who's dogs I'm supposedly breeding around pussy.
This is the second year that i have owned plotts and will never hunt anything else, they are truly a notch above. My dogs are a mix of Darrus Martin, Pocahontas, and Mike Cauley breeding(recently anyway). I am in the process ...

Re: bluetick pups training
So how many litters have you had in all the 3-4 years you've had Plotts Larry?, or Cody or whaterver your name is since you have to hide it. I read on another site where you stated you had Plotts for two years and that was in '09 I think. Sounds like you have one hell of a strain going there Larry ...

Re: bluetick pups training
So Larry. How much did you pay for those dogs that just had the litter at your place and made you an instant breeder?
You're the biggest smack talking hypocrite I've ever seen. Don't let him kid ya ferjr, Larry bought (or his daddy did, from what I've heard
) his way into dogs also.

Re: Grizzly hunting?
Not the first one to be killed out of the Mgt Units for sure. The others have always been posted somewhere, paper, news etc. They have to make sure we know they are expanding out of their intend areas. Stinks like fish to me. Must have been a pack of Plotts that caught it and they kept it under ...

Re: Grizzly hunting?
They kept that one under their hats. Never saw an article or anything on it. Must have been at the elk farm at Rose Lake. Where did you hear about it?

Re: Grizzly hunting?
Idaho Bison - Where did this happen? I live in N. Idaho in the middle of the Griz Mgmt Unit and haven't heard a word of it. I know it didn't happen here, hounds on bears are outlawed in this unit.

Re: SURVEY: LEGALITY OF GPS WITH DOGS
If your state does not have a statute stating this, you need to work on it.
Idaho Statutes
TITLE 25
ANIMALS
CHAPTER 28
DOGS
25-2807. DOGS AS PROPERTY -- PROOF OF VALUE. Dogs are property; and when
the value of any dog is material in any civil or criminal proceeding in this
state, the same may ...

Re: Plott guys only
Norcalkemmer,it does matter to me that Plotts have produced more BEARDOGS and it is a fact.I will get some #'s and show you if you like but I can see this will never end. Like I said I dont care what you hunt, just give credit where credit is due. Most Plotts aren't hunted on rodents. And obviously ...

Re: Plott guys only
I have hunted out of Big Bend, Burney, Pit River, Mc Cloud and Shasta area. That f-ing lava run is one place I would rather not go back to. Holds some big bears but not worth it.
Yeah as you know I run Plotts and I still am waiting for someone to prove me wrong that they have not produced more ...

Re: Plott guys only
Norcalkemmer. I did state a few facts.
I hunt plotts and I am proud of it. And yes I think they are the best breed for the game I hunt.
I hunt bears and cats. I don't hunt squirrels and rabbits so my dogs are bred for the game I hunt.
there are average, good and great bear dogs in every breed ...

Re: Plott guys only
I have only been to this site a few times, there are some good legitimate posts on here and there is alot of BS. Probably more good than bad but still too much BS for me to look here regularly. I saw this post and the post about the BEST BREED FOR BEAR a week or so ago, and some of the replies, and ...
