Re: jagdterriers

Now a JRT is only 1/4 as mad as a JRT

I am assuming you meant one of those JRTs to be something else, cause to doesn't make a lot of sense as written.

I had a litter of ridgebackXcatahoulaXJagdterrier that made pretty good hog dogs.

church fart

An older couple is attending church services.

About halfway through, the wife writes a note and hands it to her husband.

It says, “I just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?”

He scribbles back, “Put a new battery in your hearing aid!

Re: grity dogs

The grittiest dog that I have hunted with is our pit bulls that we use for catch dogs, but on bears only, was a walker dog that my buddy owned. His name was rock, the first bear he was on was a 30 min race and at the tree there was bear hair all around the tree and Rock looked like he brushed his ...

Re: "Houndn'em Bluetics"so utah, first bear rig of the year!

Jared, if you get tired of UT, slide on down south. I'm going to try this string of potlickers on bear for the first time this year. With 2 hounds, a 3/4 hound 1/4 cat and a BMC, WE'LL NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET. I don't know if these cull hog dogs can get it done, but we got the ponies, beer, and ...

Re: Meat dog or specialized hounds?

I have 5 hounds. One is in Idaho getting hunted on bear this spring/summer. I hunt lions mostly, sometimes run bobcats when they are in season, and have not bear hunted yet. I rarely coon hunt, but I have had fun doing it. I want a multi-purpose dog that will hunt all 4. I can't see having a "bear ...

Re: vests

I may get ribbed for this, but here are my .02. I only use a vest on a catch dog. The reason being, i want my bay dogs to bay not catch. I think it gives them a sence of protection. I also think it is harder for them to get around in the thick stuff. If you got a dog that is too rough, let them get ...

Re: My 3 1/2 mo old Benny G pups

Ms. Tessa, if you get tired of her (Puma, aka Honey), let me know. The girls and I had mixed feeling sending her to the windiest place on earth, this side of the Basin.  I hope she brings nothing buy smiles to your face. I can't think of a better dog, to show her the ropes, than the Oz ...

Re: My 3 1/2 mo old Benny G pups

Of course she is showing her hard headed side . Onza is a quick learner and if I scold him for it he listens, but not Puma! She is hard headed and will take off running with it in her mouth when I get after her. She is learning quickly I do not put up with that. Mike, Puma is so pretty. Everyone ...

Re: ANYBODY RUN BLUETICKS ON HOGS?

I have a blue bitch that will stay with a track and bay close, but not too close. She isn't the same breed of dog, as the one you speak of ,but she is a grade dog that takes on a bluetick color. I have thought about crossing her and her cold nose with a good cur, but I have yet to find the cur that ...
