Northern Rocky Mountain dog boxes
I'm locate in western Montana. I'm having a heck of a time finding someone who will make custom aluminum dog boxes west of the Mississippi. Does anybody here know of any box makers that are near western Montana? Hope to have a custom flatbed box setup made for a shortbed rig.

Re: Wolves digging up traps.
A guy once told me he was brought in to trap a problem wolf. All of the local trappers had failed at catching him. All of the Gov trappers had failed at trapping him. This man is sort of a legend and was called in. He went in and set the best sets he had in his bag of tricks. Lo and behold when he ...

Re: Large breed lion hound for wolf country??
thanks Kflip
I have seen calicatchers before. Also I have researched the staghounds. After some deep thoughts I dont think adding sighthound is really necessary. The dogo have tons of endurance. My kangals can cover over 50 miles per day and top speed of my 160 lb male was 40mph.

Re: Large breed lion hound for wolf country??
Thanks Cameron
I have a friend here that runs GWP at his pheasant club. He gave me the name of a Drahtar guy in Utah as well, wonder if its the same people? I always wanted a ridgeback but they are sighthounds. My friend wants to add deerhound to his kangals to make a good coyote dog and it makes ...

Re: Large breed lion hound for wolf country??
Thanks Tman. I raise about a dozen kangals in wolf country so I know what it takes against wolves.
Cameron I have already written here on another post about the drahtaar and deerhound. Now I worry about the deerhound as I can't find any breeders in the usa that hunt their dogs... all I can find are ...

Large breed lion hound for wolf country??
I'm in Montana but grew up down south and only know about hog dogs, bird dogs and livestock dogs for the most part. I'm still pretty green in relation to hound dogs. I am working on a hound dog line that I may call the American Lion Hound. The base desire is a dog that can trail lions in wolf ...

Re: Wolves killed by hunters using dogs.
I had no hope for this hunt from the beginning as the rules didn't seem feasible. And what dogs were people going to use!?! What breed more directly?? Nice to see proven wrong. The dogs didn't get shredded and the wolves didn't get ripped apart like the antis were crying about. How, I have no idea ...

Re: Wolves in Wisconsin
They do like to eat :D
Giant dogs eat more than hounds but less per lb so its not as bad as you'd think.
most my pack eats 8~10cups a day...
they have HUGE webbed paws like wolves... run great in deep snow, endurance(you wouldnt believe me) and fight like a pit crossed with a cougar.
If you want to ...

Re: CAN YOU RUN BEARS IN YOUR STATE
You can only use hounds on wounded bears in kentucky. My guess is that they dont have alot of bears... Thats what a biologost told me... but that was 6 years ago... the story was thats why the elk boomed in kentucky and not tennessee, kentucky had way less bears than TN. TN bears killed dang near ...
