Re: California Commissioner
You CA. Residents need to write some letters. Get your local sportsmans associations to do the same. We must fight fire with fire, or overcome evil with good.

Re: Couple of lion questions?
I am not saying I know what it is. I just told you what my first guess would be. The picture of the track is not clear enough for me to want to bet. Larry, if you can't tell a big tom track from a female track from a picture, you had better get out there and study what you are doing. I can say for ...

Re: Couple of lion questions?
My guess would have been a female. It sure looks to have a notched left ear in one of the photos, so I would surely concede to the guys that treed him. Not a very big head, yet not a fuzzy guy it what made me think it was a female. The track looked to be a tom track to me, but I would not bet on it ...

Ok guys, stand down. I think you have him on the run. It's probably not the most irresponsible thing anyone has posted on here. It is doubful he will post another picture that he did not take.

Re: Answers for Mr. Al Baldwin
I have very limited regional experience with bobcat hunting. I know guys from all over that hunt diverse terrain and use different style and different dogs. I have found that when hunting in snow, the lead dog has a great advantage. He ownes the track and makes it tougher for others to trail. That ...

Re: What are the best and worst tracking conditions and why?
Being in Texas, this won't help you much, but snow dripping out of a thick forrest of evergreens is the fastest way to erase scent around here. It may snow a foot overnight and then turn warm with blue sky. It's like pouring rain under the canopy. You can't even sight trail a track that was easy to ...

Re: HD 120
No offense. I just don't get to mount very many cats from around here, and very few that are big. Not all cats are created equal, some cats are like working on vegas or novas. other are like working on rarer birds like the old Hemis. I am facinated by big cats the bigger they are the more they ...

Re: HD 120
Ok. Lets say I restore cars I am considered one of the best there is. I happen to know where there is a 69 Z28 all matching numbers 327 with 62,000 original mile sitting in a barn in HD 120. I don't have the means to buy it but would love to do a ground up restoration, because I think it deserves it ...

Re: HD 120
I can't really figure out what I would be trying to pull. I have been hunting units that border that HD. I have some friends working in 120 and have had a big fat tom killing deer in the strip for the last month. There are a couple other cats working the same jobsite. I thought someone that might ...

Re: Bobcat Question
I feel everytime a young dog runs his guts out and does not end up at a tree in begins to put a message in his head that the chase is all that matters. Not knowing that the tree is the goal. This may not always be the case, but I have found that young dogs that are placed on good tracks in new snow ...
