This should be interesting. I run Sooners for bear and they kick ass.

its not the color that makes the dog, hunt all breeds and keep the best dogs.

Re: black and tans
I had a couple of track down bred black and tans that were very nice bear dogs, they were also very cold nosed.

Fred Smith's line from Oklahoma tracing to Savage are hard to beat for these species.
Might be the pit bull or the July running dog in their single registered roots but they can run and they can bite.

Re: black and tans
Well i run all ruby swamp black and tans n they do a nice job. They have cold noses, they are bout as gritty as a guy needs, and true rig dogs. I love riggin with these dogs. And i have not had a bad pup yet, this cross is just starting to get out. I have had 3 litters now and havnt had a bad report on them yet. I have thought bout getting a night hawk dog too for the last couple years. My old man used to hav one out of that old nightrider breed which is now night hawk. Swears up and down that it was the best coon dog he has ever owned. Thats just cause he doest run bear. If that helps you out any with Nighthawk breed. If you get one let me kno how it does. I would consider on getting one!PLOTTMAN55 wrote:whats the best line of biggame black and tans (for hog and bear)
