So how many of you guys have seen bear sign or treed up so far. Which states are the bears activite in as of right now?

We have seen a bunch of them from the plane, they are not leaving far from their dens yet.

I know some people ran one here in utah, but it seems like they didn't even den up, i heard of alot of people cutting tracks in the snow, and we cut one on dec. 15, theres been alot of people seeing them in brownspark, but that is just hear say.

Well i've seen two bears so far, both in the mt. emily unit. Unfortunately my wife's tag is in the wenaha. There is still too much snow in south side of the unit to get around. Maybe in another couple weeks.

i don't know an elk springs, but there is alot of different names for alot of places, depends, it might have been my brother, and my uncle was Wade Rich

Did he ever have a accidental breeding about 14 year or so ago. Female Jagd and a Walker male?

he could have, don't know, wasn't hunting with dogs then, but they did have a dog that was a cross with a jag and a hound, don't know the parents, i think that dog probably would have been around fourteen, why?

My Woman dog came from vernal she was 1/2 Jagd and 1/2 walker, she was one hell of a dog. Hal Mecum had a male that came from the same litter. We bred Woman to a plott that Shirley Cook had. There were a few of them that stayed in Vernal, they are what you are thinking of, I would bet. Hal and I got those 2 as pretty young pups, and what I heard Hal kept his for a long time. I kept woman and she died last year.

ya probably he was a hell of a dog, really liked him, he died a few years ago, but he was fast, gritty, and had a decent noses.

big boars starting to move but not far from dens. some clear up in 6 feet of snow.
"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.
