i agree, if they want to come, let them, but they should know how to speak english, and come legally, something the president doesn't agree with. its not discrimination if its the law, which it is, if you don't come legally your breaking the law.
Well, unless we are of the Native people then we all go back to immigrants that came here wether it be 200 years ago or more recently. My mother is from Canada and my father is American. I have roots going back to Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. I have visited the homelands of my ancestors and I have to say I am so happy they decided to come to America and start a life here because I am proud to be an American and think this is truely the greatest country in the world. It is a shame the direction our country is headed, especially under the current president. I for one do not agree with his socialist (communist) way of thinking. I am all for our country being governed for the people, by the people. We need to remember this country was founded on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Our founding fathers wanted out country to be FREE not under a monarchy or even worse a communistic regime.
Maybe I went a bit off topic here, but it all boils down to what we want for our country now and another 200 or so years from now. Sure let the immigrants in if they want to come and work hard and become Americans. Most immigrants come for this reason. To live the American dream I know my family did when they left Ireland during the famine. We are a great and culturally diverse country that is what makes us unique. Don't let these politicains fool you and tell you that immigrants are going to come live off of benefits and take jobs away from American people. There are plenty of jobs out there for people that WANT to work and not sit on their duffs and collect welfare. I work as a nanny and housekeeper to make ends meet. I am not sitting on welfare or getting any sort of benefits. I put out over 500 notices door to door to get jobs. Yes, I am a proud hard working American. I have no problem if someone wants to come here from somewhere else and do the same thing. I am sure we would have less trouble with illegal immigration if getting a work visa here was as easy as it is for someone to get welfare.

Big Horn Posse, I won't go into what I think about the issue, but your statement "I am sure we would have less trouble with illegal immigration if getting a work visa here was as easy as it is for someone to get welfare" is a very good one. A lot come to work, some come for welfare,or don't have much choice, but the Americans who were born here and live off the system maybe need to immigrate elsewhere. I can understand welfare for certain circumstances (short term) but those who make it a job bring down our great country.
