Re: pup training
Ok first, I'm no expert. I have read that curs have a special skill at figuring out what it is you want them to hunt. With that said, ultimately you'd like to show that dog a real bobcat. If you can trap one or find someone that has one through a local club or online search. Not sure of the legalities of that, however, it is usually illegal to use the house/barn cat. I'm definately not trying to claim I'm so correct or anything. Don't try to drag the bobcat through the woods, it don't work. Let just say, I know, ha ha. Ok, the easiest thing to do is to buy some scent. Buy some Grawe's Lures Bobcat scent. Put a scented pad on a walking stick and walk a mile out into the woods touchin the pad to the ground as you walk. Then rub your cat in bob scent and hang your house cat in the tree ten feet off the ground. Like I said I'm no expert but that's what I'd do. Have fun. Let me know how your dog does.
