I've recieved one e-mail since early Feb. and that was on a death in our houndsmen family, and you look at the CHC web site and almost everything is out dated, the news letter lists most of what is coming up but by the time we get it anything that has happened in Sacramento is old news, and the board members have the same info sources that I have,

Now if CHC had it's own posting site that was up-dated as things come up we could get the info that is current

Also I would think that there are a lot of California houndsmen and houndsmen from other states that hunt here on this site that aren't in CHC.


But your right about the bottom line being our "WAR CHEST"

and keep a monthly up-dated CHC Posting under the clubs area in this forum so that the people that don't go to these events get up-dated because the biggest bitch that I have heard with all the polical BS coming at us is "what is CHC planning on doing"

This is a great idea--one that we have considered rolling out to the CHC Members Only section of the site. Unfortunately, the biggest limitation is the time it would require to not only put the code together and add it to the site (which is done by a volunteer), but the time that would be required to administer and moderate it.

Generally speaking, the site has lots of potential, but the current webmaster wears a few other hats in CHC, so we have a bottleneck to overcome before we can continue to push improvements to the site.

CHC is currently accepting applications for a new webmaster if you know anyone...

It wouldn't need to be a "members only" site if it only up-dated us as to what has happened and for fund raisers.

I believe that the more that CHC shows that they are "on top of things" the more support and participation we would get when the time comes.

There are over 3500 members of this site and when you look at the guests there are 1/2 that many more that aren't members, by getting input from any houndsmen from any state with there experience of what they have been though and what has worked and what hasn't it can't hurt,

California is not in this alone we are just the next on the list.
