Well can't hunt four months out of the year since I think it was 2006... April, May, June and July no season for fur-bering critters, don't know why they had to make a season for those 4 months since most people don't bother hunting them in the hot months due to fur quality. Would be getting after them if it was legal though but just running during these 4 months since the fur is not good this time of year anyhow.
There are lots of bobcats prety much anyplace in the state, seems to be higher populations where people live since they can sneak about mostly without being seen and lots of game feeding on lawns and gardens. I don't think there are as many as it sounds like in south Texas though... but there is definatly a healthy population.
