Good lookin dogs there Ike!

On the OW Hills dogs. I use to converse with OW often I also owned Sierra Red Roho that wasout of World Champion Redbone Sierra Red Ace. As a young child my first expereinces with hounds was with redbones so I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them. Roho went on to become a Champion himself after I sold him back to O. W.

For those of you who like a good red hound I may have an outstanding 6 year old redbone (grade) bitch for sale soon. She is strictly a dry ground lion hound and has been on over 60 lions in the dirts. She has a loud deep course bawl mouth, and grit to spare. She is very cold nosed and uses a lot of mouth. She trees hard and bays hard. Double tuff footed, and can takes tons of hunting. She is not a cheap dog but she will be worth the money if you have lions to catch. Not an ill bone in her body and she is straight. She would hunt lions anywhere I am sure but she is best on dry ground and hunted horseback or muleback. (How do you say that politicaly correctly?) Maybe sadleback? I don't know I ride horses most of the time, but if I could only have one it would be that one mule in the world without a hole in him. LOL! I know I am dreaming but mules have some serious advantages if they are the right mule. Man I am bouncing around like a rubber ball. Must be all that time on the road. LOL!

Watch the classified section if you are interested in a super redbone bitch lion dog.

I will try to find out. she looks 100% redbone and her littermate brother the same. Hardworking dogs with huge bawl mouthes on them. I will try to post some pictures when I get them. I hunted with them last week and they can get it done way down south. Is there any of Phil Taylor's blood left around?

Tom Taylor, who is Phils son I believe lives over around Greenwich, Ut. and still has a bunch of red dogs. I dont know what he has done with them but I think they still go back to Phils dogs.

Ike, Is the thad stewart you talk of from saint george area? I know an old houndsman named thad stewart from here. He owned dixie lumber and hardware. he retired from that and the hounds in the last few years. fun to hear his stories, but one thing he never did claim to do was catch many lions. I have seen alot of his pictures including a cat that held second place for alot of years. I hope I never retire from this, die under the tree sounds better to me. you'll be quite a ways ahead of me on either of those, your looking pretty old these days. had to say it, I'm just starting to feel all soft being nice all the time. sounds like some neat blood and alot of history and big name guys that made the sport what it is today. good luck on the cross.
"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.

I wouldn't bet on it Ike. you'lle die a houndsman not retire one. You take this shit way to personal for it to be a long ways from your heart. and don't smash your computor because then who would I argue with all the time? I'll have to ask old thad about those dogs I'm sure it will lead to some cool stories.
