Marshall Collars what do you think

Post by doghunter »

I currently use Quick Track and Wildlife. I use to think there was no better collar then Quick track. but now i am sending them back twice a year to have the batteries recharged.

The wildlife collars have the batteries i can change in the feild but they are expensive.

I am trying to wait for Marshall to come out with their GPS/Telementry combo collar but Keep running with the few collars I have that are still working and my 6 wildlife.

I run Garmin and The telementry at the same time and will try to make due until fall but i will need all my collars by October for hunting season and if Marshall is not out with their GPS collar i will need to either charge all my quicktrack or replace them.

right now i am leaning toward Marshall because you can use 2 AA batteries that you can get anywhere.

I know the quick track do not last like they use to.

any help would be appricated as i have never used marshall

I agree quick track once made a great collar. I am having the same problem with batteries. I have 1 marshall now for 3 years and have not a minute trouble out of it. I am needeing to replace some dead quick track and no doubt it will be a marshall hands down. great product and the collar tells you more abour your dog. tells you when the batteries are going dead and I like the dog down mode you know when you have a hurt dog.

thanks for the responce I have never heard anyone say anything bad about Marshall. if i was not waiting for their gps model I would have already gone to marshall because they have the all the extras like if your dog is moving or not and i do beleive they have tree swithches,

i found this in another thread on collars.

I knew Marshall was coming out with a GPS unit, but I hadn't heard of it being a GPS/Telemetry collar combo.

That would be great!

I'll have to call the guy back who's back in NC and ask him about this.

I just bought 2 marshal telemetry collars. So far they are everything they said they would be. And no more sending the quick trac in for a dead battery.

My Quick track collars are now for sale. Does anyone know what you can get for a used Quicktrac collar that is dead but is in great shape.

I only bought 2 to start. with the hopes their telemetry/GPS model will be out at the end of this month.

I have three quick track collars. Only one of them has lasted past three years and the other two have had the transmitters replaced in them. Usally I have to send them in every other year to replace the batteries. The ones I just recived back will be the last time I send them in.
