Hey guys Im new to the sport and new to Nevada. I moved to Ely to work at the mine. I currently dont have any dogs. I started running with my friends In idaho and now I have the fever. I am looking to buy a started dog and a pup. I am hoping to have at least 1 dog within a few months. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. This is a great site with alot of info. Thanks

Welcome aboard Tanner, You just so happen to live in the town that held one of the best lion hunters ever ,Mr. Wiley Carrol. There should be some Hound hunters there they won't be hard to spot ; with the dog boxes and all. Wish you the best of luck and never buy a dog unless it is under the TREE!.......

I know a feller there in caliente I don't know how far that is for ya, but he is a hell of a nice guy and would be a good one to get in with. Also he comes out and hunts with me a couple times a year so you could tag along and check out so. ut.
P.s "Hook" is getting fat. I think she will be having pups on the ground by july 1st!!!
"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.
