Training
Hi myself and the dogs are new to the lion hunt....I have 3 littermates around 10 months old...I want to send 1 of them to train to hunt the lion...question is will it be a waste of my money to just send 1 or should I send at least 2? Was hoping the 1 would be able to help the others learn as we ran thru the desert
Re: Training
two pups can talk one into trash anyday. not saying it won't turn out for you but it's a bit to think over. the absolute best advice for training hounds is to have control over them. I don't know how long you plan on training the one but it's a big job for a young hound to lead a pack solo. some have done it to be sure. however most grow into it. good hunting
Re: Training
Find someone that has some good lion dogs and see if you can tag along on a hunt with 1 pup. Then if it works out take another pup the next time. Hunt the pups one at a time while with an experienced dog so they can learn instead of just messing around with each other. Or buy a pup trainer and do the same process with it. The problem with pups that live together is they tend to want to screw around with each other instead of hunting, not all but some do.

Who are you sending the pup to?
"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.

Re: Training
My advise would be to select one pup and hunt it and get rid of the other two as you say you are just starting out in the lion world and one pup is a hand full let alone three. Put your heart and time into one pup and not saying this is a for sure deal but if it does work out you will be glad you did this. later, Andy
