Do you rifle or archery hunt? We have quite a bit of walk in hunting ground, some is closed to rifle because of some cattle shooting in the past. In the Norton area.

If you don't live there you must either be drawn for a tag or have an outfitter give you one. If your lucky enough to get a land owner transfer tag (like I did) then your in business that way. I hunted on the eastern side mid state. The farm land, people, and differrent way of life are worth the trip alone. The deer hunting was INCREDIBLE tho. Saw tons of shooters just procrastinated to long and ran out of time. I did kill two of the best tasting does (for the farmer) that I've ever killed. If you hate hunting in the wind you won't like Kansas. It was 15 degrees and the wind was blowing 50 mph steady the first morning and I asked the farmer if it was like this all the time he said "no sometimes the wind blows really hard."
