finally made it out.

Post by houndnem »

It is hard anymore to find a spot to get beyond the urban sprawl of this city, but we went out scouting and found some decent spots. dogs acted a little rusty on the coonhuntin, but despite that we still caught a few. I only took "Bandit" and "thunder", and my buddy took "cash". usually I take the whole herd with, but this time of year my dogs are tied up all over the state. wish I could move back to the country. then keepin dogs and finding coon spots would be easy.

Well at least you can hunt. My dogs haven't left the yard since March 15th. I am about to go nuts. A trip up in the woods would get sent to the slammer. And despite what you previously accused me of, I do not want locked up with a bunch of guys!

that's funny shit!! don't dwell on that coment man I was just joking. when I get all fired up I just speak from the heart and sometimes I bypass the brain. I catch more game than alot of the hounders down here and I'm used to being the king. not used to being questioned about my theories or the amount of game I catch. It's probably good for me to have a little opposition and keep me humble and honest. when does your next season kick off up there? we have year round coons and lions so load em up and let's go. our bear starts next week to.

All we can hunt are coons. Sept. 1 thru March 15th. I hunt Bobcat in Oregon. We have a draw for cougar. The season is from Dec 1 thru March 31. Nobody I hunt with got drawn this year so I shall be in Oregon alot this winter. We have been talking about doing a lion hunt in another state but I don't know much about what states I can get an over the counter tag. If you aren't butt hurt then maybe someday I will work my way down that way. I have always wanted to hunt some of that country that has produced so many legends in the hound world. Just to see it would be fun.

we got over the counter tags on both year round units down here. we also have over the counters for all the units that runs march - june. I've said it a million times, anybody who wants to come have a good time chasin lions that is willing to put the drama to the side is more than welcome with me.
