I guess I am going to have to fit my dogs with water wings as it is raining where it doesn't know how. We had our first rain on Sunday evening and as of noon, we have had anywhere from 5 to 8 inches across Menard County. I called a buddy who lives in the Dryden flats of Terrell County and he said that he had had over 4 inches just from hurricane Alex. He said all of the draws and roads were running clear water.
I guess that I could get out there now and see how the hunting is when it is raining but think that I will just wait till it is over. Don't want my dogs to get used to this...
Adios,
Gary

Re: Raining in Texas
Hey Partner you won't believe this one!
Talked with a good friend who was visiting with a Mexican rancher just south of Dryden, TX on the Mexico side. The lowest rain total across the ranch was 17.5" in one gauge and the highest showed 23" since the storm stalled out down there. I have a ranch leased down north of Dryden and I am sure it took out my roads.
Be careful on the road,
Gary
