Re: how much exersize?
i like to run my dogs every chance that i get. it seems to keep there minds in the middle and not as wound up when ya do get the chance to take a track and its nice to keep your dogs in good shape and keep their lugs tough. keep em runnin every chance ya get
take it easy and have a good time.

i heard after two day you loose the progress you made on the last run given. dont know if there any truth to it but i run them every chance i get and then a day of rest before i hunt them.
You don't have to be crazy to make it threw life. But it helps

We have 6 arces fenced in with a 7' high fence and a Pond in the middle .. With this heat their spending about 4-5 hours swimming and playing per day plus the whole pack runs around the fence line about 4-5 times per day which would equal about 1-1/4 miles.
Here a clip of what they do in the pond !! Crazzy Hound !!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0dPWqaT-lE
Here is a Photo of the Fence 1st fence is a redbrand 4' fence the top is redbrand 3' fence and I used Hog Ringers to connect the two fences ... This is Much cheeper than buying 6' High Fence.
About 90% of the whole fence is on trees and I only used the trees that lined up in a stright line then added T-Post where needed

Frosty After a Dragon Fly !!! And He is " Open Track " on Dragonflys !!

If you look close at the bottom you can see the fence strip on the ground to prevent digging out ..
One thing I kick my butt about all the time is I should have used the smallest No Climb Horse Fence for the first 4' high fence .. This type of fence is 2" X 3" with a diagional wire across the Opening .. It is much more expansive than the Reg. Hog/Cattle fence but if you put a Hotwire stand-off at the top of the first fence it will Keep Coon in your enclosure !!!
I'am thinking about getting a couple of Fallow Deer to keep inside with the Hounds "Full Time" Breaking !! My fence hight is ok to get get the permit to have them..
I have a power 10' wide gate that is 5' high to the top which I added the Fence to and put a strip of Chain link fence on the bottom the drags the ground "Keeps them from digging under the Gate"

Majestic just have to say I love that set up, if I had me a nice field and a pond like that I think all I would do is play with the hounds in that pond. Of course I would have to take a break from playing every now and then and hunt, nice set up.

I run mine when not hunting, 20 miles every other day, going 15-18mph.

Re: how much exersize?
Great question. Thanks for all the info. I run mine 3 to 4 times a week about 3-5 miles. After all the input I will step it up a notch. I got a new B & T and he is out of shape so it will do him some good.
Re: how much exersize?
Mine pull me around on the long board until they are tired enough that Im bored cuz the ride is too slow. Just started this revolutionary new training regiment so dont know how often but i plan on riding 3 times a week
Get er done!
