Nice looking pup. Good luck to you. Get him in the woods as often as possible so he will have a chance to make a good one.

That pup looks to be ALL hound! Keep us posted.

thanks guys,
we get a couple hours together daily to hike and walk in the woods. I am hoping to get him out there and work on scent drags and exploring as much as possible before fall and then have him run with some experienced dogs.

Hey Sean if you ever want to do anything let me know.
I ordered some bear and coon scent the other day, when it comes I'm going to start doing drags and see if he likes it.

I use a Digital Leica Rangefinder for all this. It's a real incredible image maker. I also shoot a lot of film through a Leica kit, but less lately for financial reasons.
I'm probably going to carry a Nikon D200 in the woods with a longer lens to get some more reach, it all depends on how much weight I'm going to deal with.

Walk with Wick is an incredible resource! I got my copy today, and while I expected it to be informative, I had no idea it would be this fun a read as well. Very happy I found a copy.

the kid just woke up too the girlfriend's house cat, any time he notices her he's off until she's corned somewhere and he's got the goofiest howl too him, tail goin crazy. The lady's not too thrilled, and I do my best to be sympathetic, after a couple minutes calling him off and taking him outside to go wander in the woods. He's got an awesome personality, total frumpy goofball. I've had lots of dogs all my life but never a coonhound and he's gotta be one of my favorites. He get's to go everywhere with me and make the older dogs jealous.
