south east idaho
New to hounding lived in south east idaho my whole 25 years old. I bought 2 hounds pretty excitied to be up and running. Was able to run in the spring bear hunt this year for the last few weeks and get one up a tree thanks to my buddy Nate loaning me 2 of his dogs pops and timber. Dogs are Foxxy and tuff tuff is a walker and Foxxy is plott and redtick cross.Expecting some pups the end of September pretty excited to add a few to the pack.

Hello my name is randy. If u have been under a tree u know how addicting houd hunting can be. you will enjoy yourself. i just moved to louisiana from idaho falls and miss nothing more than my hounds and the mountain. be careful starting a pack too fast. if you throw a bunch of puppies in u may end up with a lot of chasin ass. how well are foxxy and tuff working together now? and how old are they?

Randy Thanks the dogs are doing really well togethor took some time but they get along great now. Foxxy is going to have pups in the next 2 weeks she is around 6 years old sounds like she is going to have 6 I plan on keeping 1 and have 2 othere's poken for hopefully not going to let them go tell the are 10 or 12 weeks to see how they start out. I have not been able to use her this fall for bear but still show her a raccoon and some bear scent when I can. Tuff has been doing really well can't get him out as much as like he is also 6 years old he has also been on few coons and bear scent and been able to ride the rig rack when have gone with a friend. I was able to take them both to the water trials and tuff ran in a bear pack race was alot of fun. I resently got a 6-7 month old plott female Anna Bell (goofies girl friend) I think that is the name I call her Bell she has been doing really well with both the dogs and picks up on things really fast has done really well on a caged coon after a bear drag. My wife really likes her and spoils her though. It is very addicting my wife is now hooked as is our daughter.

Re: south east idaho
Thanks for all the warm welcomes, the dogs have been doing great the owner is the one that sucks. I can't seem to find many bears when I go out have a few hitting the bait and had 2 long race's with no tree's. I ended up with a younger plott female that has been trailing drags and starting to tree pretty good. She loves to get coons hoping to get in a few night chases on coon that are not caged. Had a pretty elk season my friend took a real nice bull and I was able to get a small busted up rag horn with enough day's left of vacation to get the dogs out and spend some good time with the fam. My puppies are 15 day's old now and growing fast have the eyes open and starting to roll around in the kennel. Ended up with lots of color black and tan, one that is tan red, black white and tan and red white and tan. My daughter has decided that we are keeping a black and tan boy with a little bit of white. If anybody is interested in a pup for a little cash to help a guy out it would be much appreciated. thanks again
And looking forward to putting some cats in a tree.
