What does high tan mean ?
I have been reading different post talking about high tan hounds with some people liking them and some not. I am not sure exactly what high tan means. Does it make a difference?
Re: What does high tan mean ?
High tan is a color. It is a saddle back with light brown on the lower torso, and dark brown on the top (saddle). Pretty fetching to look at in my opinion. Maybe it's because two of my favorite dogs that I ever owned, and three of a buddie's were high tan.

The one on the seat is what I call a hi-tan.

Clayton,
That picture of that dog adds a whole new meaning to "HIGH tan".
