I have had a few, mine would even turn their head and not acknowlege a challenge.
They could have easily gotten the better of the other dog.
They ran loose at my place with Catahoulas and cur dogs. They killed coyotes regularly yet paid no attention to any other dog that happened by, and there was a few...
Maybe I was just lucky but they worked good with the other dogs.
Oiler coach Bum Phillips when asked why he takes his wife on all the road trips.
Phillips: “Because she is too damn ugly to kiss good-bye.”
Not sure if it's true, just funnier than hell. A been there done that moment.

Hagerman-As with any dogs, socialization is key to how they act around strange dogs.
What folks that are new to these type dogs need to know is...the stags/greyhounds are sight hunters, so they have a magnified chase/catch instinct. If left to their own device they will not be selective on what they chase/catch. Its the same as a hound left to its own device will trail, even if its not stuff you would want it to trail. A lab will pack stuff around in its mouth, a pointer will point all kinds of things besides birds, a border collie will try to herd even if it means chasing cars instead of cows etc...
The ones I have been around that are raised as companions/hunting dogs have been no more likely to fight than any other dogs, but are still far more deadly if they decide to. The sight hounds are unique creatures and just have some quirks that others dont seem to have, IMO.

Take care.

None of the dogs on my yard right now are "dog killers" but they most of them wear their feelings on their sleeves and if slightly provoked, they will kill. Never seen it but I know they will.

jdk,

There is a gathering/sale in Holdridge, Nebraska the first weekend in October. There's always plenty of dogs for sale, and it's also just a good place to visit with other hunters.

Just my opinion. I know a lot of hunters and have been around coyote hunting for most of my life. If there's a dog that is mean toward other dogs and is growly, most guys will cull it. We need to haul around three or four dogs in a set, and you can't have a mean dog in there starting a fight. I've only heard of a couple dogs that were mean toward people, and I'm not sure why they were still around. One of those was only mean when he was in the dog box. If he was at home or on the ground, he was nice as could be. I guess he was too good of a dog to get rid of. As far as the track goes, the racing dogs are also very gentle. Yes they do have muzzles, but it's not because they fight all the time. Racing dogs are given three strikes, then they are out. They can show no aggression toward any other dog. Even if they turn there head toward another dog during a race, that is counted against them. The meanness toward other dogs has been bred out of them, just like in coyote dogs. Yes they will fight what they catch, but they don't go around killing everything in sight. I've had a couple cats go by the wayside, but there's a lot of other breeds of dogs that would do that also. I've had dogs in pens with three or four other dogs before, and never had a problem. These dogs ride all day long in a dog box, so sometimes they will be a little grumpy. Usually, letting them out to stretch from time to time will usually stop that. I get a little grumpy too when I'm cramped in the truck and we aren't jumping any coyotes.
My kids and all other hunters that I know of have kids that play with their dogs like house pets. They crawl around the pens and all over the dogs. I have no fear at all that the dogs would ever be aggressive toward them. I have never heard of anyone being harmed by a coyote dog. Coyote dogs are some of the most gentle dogs out there.
