Your training method

Post by Unreal_tk »

What is your training methods. I'm looking to start my two pups. Do I want to use a electric frence to break deer and yotie before I start trail training or what. I'm also not sure how to start them. Right now they are just learning basic obedience and being house pups to help them bond to me. I've read walking with wick and call of the hounds. Would I be best using a scent of Bob on a coon ? Or just coon trails or just Bob scent drags?

If you have time, keep on studying walk with wick, and follow it to the letter. Just have to substitute coon with bobcat. Then, study this web site. I mean, really study it. Do every search you can think of that might pull up bobcat training methods. There is already more information on here about training a bobcat dog than has ever been written anywhere in the history of mankind. It is amazing and wonderful, and in some ways this is the best time in history for a begining bobcat hunter to be alive.

What you also need to focus on is how truely difficult this sport is when learning without a mentor. It can be done, and there are those on here that have done it. But it is not recomended to anyone who does not want it worse than anything else in his life.

Read this website. All of it. You will have all the information you need. Then begin to put it into practice, and you can come here with all your specific questions... And that my freind, is amazing.

We wish you the best.

boot leather and miles will make most turn if they have the right blood in them. you can use the scents and lay tracks but there is no replacing the real thing.
