WELL AS MANY KNOW WSCA IS AT A STAND STILL ON WHETHER THERE WILL EVEN BE A CLUB THIS FALL. THERE IS A MEETING SET UP FOR LATE SEPT. BUT WOULD LIKE TO START TAKING NAMES, PHONE NUMBERS AND EMAIL ADDRESSES OF ANYONE THAT IS INTRESTED IN JOING THIS CLUB FOR THE 2010-2011 SEASON.
I KNOW THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF POINTING FINGERS AS TO WHO DID THIS WRONG OR WHO'S RESPONSIBILITY WAS THAT BUT IT COMES DOWN TO "DO WE STILL WANT A HUNTING CLUB" THAT WE CAN SHOW CASE OUR HOUNDS AND HAVE FUN AT OUR EVENTS. I MYSELF HAVE BEEN GUILTY OF THIS VERY THING THAT I'M SPEAKING ABOUT BUT WANT TO SEE IF AND HOW MANY NAMES AND CONTACTS THAT I CAN PROVIDE TO HELP SAVE THIS CLUB.

Dee whats you goal here? Are you trying to start a new hound club?
If so you need to get ahold of the Washington State Hound Council and find out what all you need, Because all your T's have to be crossed and all your I's dotted.
Its not an easy task but it can be done...

Any responses, Dee? It's almost Septemeber and I've heard no interest.

Tim, WSCA is a UKC club which held grade events, too. According to the by-laws, if it goes under, the treasury will be sent to a like minded club, which would mean a UKC club, probably Mary's Peak since it's closest and it does the most good beyond the hound world with handicap hunts, woman's hunt clinics, donating to children's hospitals, etc and basically being an incredible ambassador of the houndmen.

Apparently a UKC club in Washington isn't very important to people who own hounds.

THIS IS FOR THE ONLY UKC SANTIONED CLUB IN WASHINGTON STATE. THIS CLUB WAS IN BATTLE GROUND FOR YEARS THEN MOVED TO YELM A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO.
THIS IS A WESTERN WASHINGTON CLUB THAT NIKKI JACKSON HAS BEEN PRESIDENT AND MEMBER FOR MANY YEARS.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL MEMBERS WHO SHARE THE LOVE OF COMPETING WHETER IT'S BENCH SHOWING, FIELD TRIALS OR THE NIGHT HUNTS.
ALL YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO COMPETE IN COMPETION IS A REGISTER HOUND IN THE UKC. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A UKC REGISTERED DOG I WILL BE MORE THAN GLAD TO HELP FIND A PUP OR GROWN DOG; JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT FLAVOR.

Dee, I appreciate you trying to drum up interest.

From darn near Canada, to darned near Idaho, to almost in Oregon...the UKC interest is spread thin across WA. That makes it rough for sure.

What makes it even rougher is there has to be a clubhouse and hunting spots available. UKC keeps sending me letters asking where the heck our clubhouse is. In our daydreams doesn't work for Bloodlines.

Good to see that hare-brained night hunting law was shelved up there.

Stay tuned; don't know if were even going to have a club. WSCA has always tried to accomindate both reg and non reg dogs with help of other clubs joining togeather.
