need info on new mexico bear hunt

going hunting n the captitan and sacremento mountians in october around roswell.wanting to take my mules n horses is it to steep n rough to ride or do i need them.how many dogs can u run on a bear.just need some info because ive never been there or know much about the area.n e help would b great.

No limit to the number of dogs. As far as horses as mules go the lower parts of the Capitan mountians you can get around on, once you climb up the mountain there is very few places you can take a horse or mule.

Be sure to check the quota before you come, last year season was closed by October
