Thanks all for your prayers. My dad accepted the Lord last Thurs. Sat when family came to visit they asked him about it. He said he feels like the Lord has forgiven him and his heart is clear. Praise God. He is failing fast. Doc's have changed it to weeks now instead of months. God is good to us and there is power in prayer. Never underestimate it.

Bearhunter that is excellant news. One more answer to prayer. I know that you will find great peace and comfort in knowing that your dad is saved. My dad passed from cancer in 94 and he will always be missed, but knowing that we will meet again someday is always comforting.

I'm really happy about the dad accepting Christ. That's some good stuff. Thank you Lord.

I was raised by a preacher. As alot of you know those preachers kids can be the most troublesome and I'd have to admit I fell into that category. Yet my father never rejected me and always loved me. I still go to his church from time to time and enjoy his sermons. I take my sons there when they spend the weekend with dad. Without the good Lord in my life God only knows what kind of person I would have been. He's always made sure I've had a roof on my head and food to eat. For that alone I'm so every grateful.

It sure does my heart good seeing all these people stand up and admitt to asking God into their lives. After testifying in church tonite I got to thinking about how easy it is to stand up in front of people who are like minded and tell about what God has done for you, it is another thing to stand up in front of strangers and tell the world you are a Christian. I am proud to be a Christian. God has done so much for my family and me. I hope that there are more post like this in the future.
I came across a scripture in Romans that stood out to me. "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one man's obedience many will be made righteous". While I believe this scripture is referring to Jesus dying on the cross to save humanity, I believe it can also apply to us openly serving God and confessing before others that Jesus is king and without him we are lost.

Bear Hunter is right. When I think of all the times I had a chance to openly talk how Christ has changed my life and I blew it, I want those opportunities back. Sometimes I get another chance and that time I need to be ready to shout out about the hope that lies within us. 1 Peter 3:15. Most of the time my daily life will speak louder than my words so I pray that I can honor Jesus with the way I live and that might give me or another christian the chance to tell someone about him! I know that I'm gonna screw up sometimes and wont always have the best witness but with Christ's blood covering me I can get it done! Thanks

It is always awesome when people find their way back. It's like the old ranch couple that were headed into town in the pickup when a young couple that obviously were romanticly sitting as close together as they could, passed them. The wife said, "what happened, we use to sit close like that". The husband thought for a moment as he drove and then said, "I'm not the one that moved". God promised that He would never leave nor forsake us. When we feel separated from God we need to realize that He is not the one that moved. May God continue to bless all the Christian houndsmen and houndswomen on this forum. Thanks to everyone for responding.
