Hands down bobcats ! The older they get the trickery they get and I just love to listen to the dogs run. I don't care if it is a cold track or a hot one... Just listen to the music !!!!

I would like to say I enjoy cat hunting. But I live in WA so I can't say I do. If I had to say I what I liked the best it would probably be cat hunting. Listening to the dogs work for as long as they can is awesome. Even if I have to grab them up and go home without a tree. I like to listen to my sweet girl sing. Besides the longer she runs the more time I have for :beer out in the woods. Hard to beat it. If only she could catch one :D

Through the years I have hunted (on purpose) coons, bear, and lion. Lion is by far the varmint of choice for me. I prefer to do it in dry conditions - I get cold when the snow falls from the trees and goes down my chap legs! With that being said, I should fess up that my dogs don't always see eye to eye with me. Sometimes those sorry sum boogers enjoy running coyote, javalina, deer, elk, coatamundi, fox, rabbit, and twice in all these years they have bayed up gila monsters! Maybe I need to employ the dog wisperer.  :joker

I am going to have to say bear hunting is probably my favorite. Dumping hounds on a freshly hit bait, then hear them shittin and gittin off into the distance listening to the race heat up. I'm a coon hunter but I would give it up in a heart beat if I lived in bear country.

i love my bear hunting done it for years. but if our bobcat population was a higher and we had more snow i;d probably be bobcat crazy. the ones i run and caught last year were a ton of fun. when i treed my first ever on purpose with just my dogs and my wife i called everyone on the contact list on my phone.
