Short answer, if you have a valid pursuit permit, you are allowed to pursue cats on a limited entry/harvest objective unit as long as you abide by all other applicable laws associated with the pursuit of lions in the state. KattKrapp

this is from dwr you can run cats on harvast units only. When the limited areas close in May other than that you can run any unit

Make sure there aren't any gun seasons going on. Then you need a kill tag.
