PUP HAS SOME SPEED!

Went to wyoming the other day with the wife and kid to look at a couple pieces of property. I decided to take my 9 month old pup with us to just have some family time, plus my son asked if cinch could go and i said sure. well we get to this chunk of land and we get out to go look at property lines and fences, the wife myself and the realtor ar standing on top of a hill looking at the property when my son, who is 2 and a half and very into exploring decides he wants to go off on a hike, heads off down the hill. everything is great we can see my son who is by now 400 plus yards down in the pasture, well cinch like always is in my sons hip pocket, they always are playing together. well i figure they have gone far enough and hollar at them to come back, both of them turn around and my son figures he's not far enough and keeps going, so cinch turns around and follows him. i start heading after my son and about half way to them i see cinch with his nose to the ground and tail spinning like helicopter blades, great he's hunting, as soon as i yell his name he strikes and is on a full out run opening down a coolie across a pasture. being the genius i am, i didnt have a shock collar on him(it was on the backseat of the car), plus i had just put a new collar on him that morning and did not have a name plate on it, so my first thought is great he is friggin gone and im not gonna get him back.i get my son headed up the hill to mom and see cinch run across part of the pasture about 3/4 of a mile away, well i put boots to pasture and was able to finally catch, from where i was i couldnt see it but i hear he put one hell of a race on a herd of DEER!
