DC-30 problems

Post by bluetickstyle »

My DC-30 was dropping in and out constanly and at times would not link up to the receiver. I have two other collars as well and both are doing fine with the same receiver. I tried the reset ( where you unplug the connector from the battery to the chip) and no luck. So i then attempted to reprogram the DC-30 through webupdater that i downloaded from the Garmin website. You link the collar to the Astro then plug the reciever into the computer. After about two hours of it sitting there not loading nothingstill saying (is will take a few minutes)i unhooked the Astro powered down the collar, and then turned everything back on. Now when you turn the collar on both lights stay red constantly, and the collar will not link back up. I beleive i have wiped the program from the collar by disconecting it before it loaded the goods back in. Any ideas or anybody ran into this type problem???
I thought there was only one color for a good hound BLUE!!!

im currently having troubles with my collars so iv been doing the same steps you have and im afraid you might be correct that you have wiped the program out. I know its a big no no to disconnect before the updates are finished. im probably going to end up sending mine into garmin but I think my issue is with the astro. Good luck I know how frustrating it is.
