Politics

Jimmy you have disappointed me and my wife. We forgive you, know you are our friend and wish you and your family only the best. We pray for you and we won't use one sentence against you.

I do however think I need to explain myself. First of all, Jackie does NOT have hip dispalysia, she does have a bad knee. I repeat, Jackie does NOT have hip dispalysia. I know this beyond all resonable doubt, and have for several years. I had her knee operated on at 7 years old. Before sugery, the Vet had to be absolutly certain that her hips were healthy. I have been hunting bobcats most of my life and I would never breed to a dog or even a family of dogs that had bad hips period! The question that needs to be asked is the bad knee genetic. I apparently don't think it is and so far the healthy, straight legged five month old puppies in my kennel are proving me right. (Good topic for another time).

A good point was brought up. Why would a proven line of dogs not be spoken for in advance? Good question... I've been hunting these dogs for ten years. They have been the only line of dogs I've hunted within that time, with a couple of exceptions. I have had opportunity to spend time with just about every dog in the family four generations back. They just suit me. Their performance is everything I want in a hound. The politics that go with them is another story. People around here know what I am talking about.

I might be shooting myself in the foot here, but their are guys around here that know these dogs can catch cats by the boat load and you couldn't pay them enough to take one. Not because of performance but the politics that come with them... In fact, I would recommend you trying a different line of dogs altogether. That's right, the guy with the puppy mill said, "Don't buy the puppies." No seriously, when I made that cross it was my first in eight years. It was made for me and me alone. So, if my reputation is still in the toilet give me a call a we'll go out hunting. Maybe this will change your mind.

Jimmy i bought two puppies from the same litter one time that had hip displaysia. when they run they don't flayl their legs the keep their feet close together and hop their ass like they are on a pogo stick. i saw another one that was not mine that had it and when he trotted he swung hais ass from side to side giving his back a snake like apperance. if you see any thing that resembles that i would have an ex ray taken. all of the pups described were put down.
