Where did they go??
Where did they go??
Any TN hunters seeing LESS bear this year? Right up to the day before season I was seeing bear... albeit most were sows with cubs. Now, I can't hardly find a track to run. White oaks are laying in mass on the ground and some hills are so covered in chestnut and pin oaks you can't even go up em. Course they won't eat them until it frosts a time or two on em.

You can bet they're on feed somewhere, any berries in the area. Mike

For some strange reason, you guys isnt the only ones having problems, the last two days of kill season, in WI, we hit one hole and had three bear going at the same time, last day, couldnt buy a track, rig, or the combined 16 baits we had. I free cast, and anything else I could think of, my buddy from florida said they were even shutting down there, during the end of the georgia season, seems the bear is telling us a long winter ahead, their system is changing to hibernate

weird...its that way in our area of California...we can not hardly find a track...the foothills seem to have a lot of action so I am guessing that our bears are already in their winter range...this is THE crappiest bear season I have ever had. Guess I'm gonna have to head down the hill with everyone else.

I'm finding the bear in the 5-6000 foot elevation or where ever the choke cherries and manzanita berries are thick, most of our acorns haven't droped yet so they're in the berry patches. Good luck everyone, Mike
