For the most part no. Especially if your not running power.

If you start pushing big Watt's through a CB it can fry allot of things so no garantee's on that..

But if you stick with stock, or slightly modified you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

The Garmin is 154Mhz
VHF is 156Mhz
CB is 27Mhz,

So CB is a long ways away from the frequency.

Even though marine would be illegal, and I can't condone it's use. I can tell you about it.

In general the marine band is far enough away to not cause major problems. IN GENERAL!!! The problem comes most of the time while using the mag mount antenna. Most guys mount these close to the marine antenna. Thus putting a lot of power back at the Garmin. If you do not use the mag mount antenna. You will rarely have a problem. Even if you are using a higher powered converted ham radio. I can't say who, but I know a person that uses a radio that puts out 90 watts. Has yet to burn a Garmin up using it on the marine band. Yet this person does not use the mag mount antenna.

Just like Buddy said CB should have little effect since it is AM vs FM of VHF. Yet, when you push lots of power out(again illegally). You can do damage to just about anything. TV's, Radio's, PA Systems all can be damage by them. In some cases it takes a lot of power, but can be done.
