UTAH BEAR HUNTERS

Post by Bplott »

Fellow hunters its nearing that time of year we all need to do our parts and stick up for our sport by showing up to the RAC meetings in our areas....I have a really strong feeling that the DWR is going to propose some thing that we are not going to want to here!!!
Just rumor so far not confirmed but wouldnt be suprised is ANOTHER 25% INCREASE IN TAGS!!!
I personaly as usual will be attending all RAC meetings as well as the WILDLIFE BOARD!!! We need everyones support...Lets get FIRED up before they ruin our bear hunting like they did the lion!!!!
Its just like voting!!!If you dont vote dont b**ch about who get elected!!!!
IF you dont show up to the meetings in your area DONT B**CH about what HAPPENS!!!

Please email your concerns plottdogs73@gmail.com

That is right in line for the DWR, kill them all for the $$$$$. Why would we let bear be any different than any other species in this state.

Bplott is right we better get to the meetings and speak up.

Come on guys get to the RAC meetings and voice your views or opions. Lets not let this get out of hand as the lion did. We have a good start if we all come together and put our feet down!!!!!!!!

This post is on track. The idea of a bear tag during the deer and elk hunt is even being floated around. Guess they like Colorado's way of doing things. You need to put together your concerns and get them to the RAC members before the meetings. That includes me as I am the Sportmans RAC member. Numbers behind one plan is what carries the weight.

Darrel,
I was wondering if the RAC members communicate with each other? A friend of mine talked with a RAC memeber who had not heard about any of this. Just wondering if this is another sneek attack from the DWR or what?

Thanks

Neff, most rac members dont research anything..most of them just read the dwr propsal and go with that cuz they think the dwr knows what there doing...but just look what has happen with pheasant hunting, lion hunting, deer hunting....Seems to me once we get a population of something the dwr wants the $$$$ and kills them off... point is we gota have number and stick up for our hunting rights

RAC members talk and email a lot. There are some good folks they do not believe every lion and bear should be shot. I have been getting emails like crazy over the deer hunt proposals. I have been keeping a tally and I will vote with the majority of sportsman and what they want. So many want there own plan that does not fit in with what anyone else wants. They are lost proposals as it is one vote cast for their plan. It is disheartening because so many people are passinate about it.
Houndsman need to have a united voice this December, It could have just as much impact as the new deer hunt changes.
I do and will represent the sportsman, so lets get a unified proposal in.
Also I do know they have had a lot of trouble with problem bear on the La Sals and Blue mountains. They have been trapping and moving a lot of them. I am pretty sure that six were put down in Green River in the melon Patches. That has become pretty much a no mans land for dogs due to land owners.

Darrel.

By the way the lion is in the crosshairs of a lot of the people emailing their deer hunt choices. Also the tags during big game hunts was relayed to me by a DWR officer who is a good friend he thought I would want to know.
