last stretch of season in the NC mtns?

What do you NC boys think the hunting in the mountains will be like do you think everthing will be dened up i hunt santeetlah

i very much doubt it. i'm sure there will be some moving. i know in our area we aint worried. i work with a few boys from robinsville and they have had a bunch of snow but have heard of some hogs being killed this week so far. year before last we killed 8 during second part.

I haven't heard of anyone doing any good monday or tuesday. Only know of a few folks that even tried to brave the elements. Heard of some tore up trucks and getting stuck issues. Snow frozen over ice or old snow in most places with any elevation. Just not been good enough conditions for the dogs to run in. Some spots the snow is knee deep.Just depends on how much of round one was left before the latest round. They didn't move much sunday or monday night. Last tracks I know of were made Saturday day sometime crossing roads in old snow and everybody and their brother seen them. Something will happen today, would about bet on it, its the best day we've had. Conditions aren't that much better but something will get found somewhere. Conditions may get better or worse after this rain tomorrow. Sunny side down lower is what we're thinking of hopefully come the weekend. Next week looks a little better as far as temps go. Time will tell.

i hunted TN side fri and sat and ran bear both days caught one around 200lbs sat let a kid take it out hopefully ill get on some more in NC the next few weeks
