Another Worm Question

Post by Charlie83541 »

Have a female that has what I'm pretty sure are Hook Worms. (Look like rice on the poo.)
I use Imathal and have no worm problems to date, but this one's got me scratchin.
I've given her Imathol probably ten times in the last eight weeks and just can't get ahead of them. She has Worms in her poo every day (lots of em, look like rice) and evn has em crawling out of her butt.
Maybe I'm not diagnosing the problem correctly and have some thing else??? Dunno.
Like I said, "they look like rice on the stool". The ones I've seen outside of her anus are about a half inch when stretched out and the size of a fine wire. Again "white".
Don't know what Whip Worms look like. Could it be that is what she has.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Charlie

you most likely have TAPEWORMS there..
most wormers will not get them.
Look up Droncit and find the main ingredient--- then go to the web and you can find the generic equivilent to it for fish..... a lot less costly
Pop me a Pm later and I will assist you on this.
gotta leave now.

Yep,,,, looks like you guys nailed it.
I was under the impression that tape worms were longer and larger.
Finally found a pic of some in a dogs stool and they look just like what I have going here.

I'll google some remedies, but would still like to hear what ya'll use.

Thanks
Charlie
