That thing is HUGE. Having any luck with cats this winter? I just drew the non-resident hound permit so I'll be headed over your way starting after the first. Make sure you guys have them wolves all tuckered out...

Re: Wolf tracks
turned loose on a bobcat and a lion off a certain road the first week of the season and now I haven't found a cat track on that road in 2+ weeks, but have found wolf tracks everytime i've been down that road recently. those bastards are HUGE! I won't go back to that road anymore...got a find a new place to hunt now...DAMN WOLVES!
Re: Wolf tracks
We have them all over here, seen one weekend before last while we were looking for some lion tracks. There is really no way to avoid them here, they are everywhere, just got to stay on top of your dogs as best as you can. Thank goodness for Garmins.

Re: Wolf tracks
Goodness! How big of a wolf makes a track that big? We don't really have any wolves down here on the south end of Minnesota so I have never seen a wolf tack before. That thing looks huge!

Re: Wolf tracks
Ran two bobs last week. Treed one lost the other. Pulled the dogs off after four hours.
Wolfs around these parts are damn big. Dogs dont have a chance. Pack of seven to ten wolves killed a muledeer less than 1/4 mile from the cabin. Looking for another area to hunt now. To much invested in my dogs to feed them to another damn dog.
Just have to deal with them for now. Hopefully the feds get there head out of there a$$
and find out there is going to be no game left if somethings not done.
Elk and deer populatoins are really taking a dive around here.
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
Good luck to all the locals on your season.

Congrats on drawing Fred, have you decided whereabouts you'll be hunting? You should stop over here, I want to see some of those spotted dogs go. As far as tuckering the wolves out, we try, lol. There are just too many of them around.

HI SHANE! How you been!! Long time since we got to talk. I am going to try all over. I would love to come down and run with you. I have worked hard since May and dropped 105 pounds. Feeling really good. I only have one in-experienced dog right now, looking for another one. We'll chat!
