Pup not walking on paws.

Post by seaverv »

Today I got a call from my brother at work telling me that one of my pup is not walking correctly, So I rushed home to find out that that pup was walking on her forearm. I remember someone having the same problem on here. If anyone knows what this is please let me know, I am very worried about her. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out.

Carpal Flexural Deformity...

I'd take a stab and say she's overweight and/or growing very rapidly.

If she's on puppy food switch her to Adult food, and don't feed her too much, and make sure she is in the sun. You can supplement her with Fish Oil to help, if your giving any other supplements he should stop. Also wood or concrete flooring can make it worse.

One of my young females had this when she was about 2 weeks old. She was a very big pup out of a litter of 2. She's perfectly normal now.

Here's an example on CFD.
