Minnesota cats

Post by Budd Denny »

Steve Hurd from this forum and Doug Ferguson from New Hampshire came up for some rabbit and cat hunting.
We got on this one today, got lucky and found the track while it was snowing. Cats can't run in deep snow ;D.
Had a good video but somehow erased it off the camera.
Left to run another day.

Put this one under a old car that was in the woods today. Actually there were two under there but small so we left em for another day.

Was cold this morning (-31) when we left and ended up not finding a track till 1:30. Short run and cat bailed when we got close to the tree, all older dogs on tree so the outcome was bad for the cat, otherwise he would have been left for another day.

Last day the boys are here, and we finally found a ok track to run. We had three dogs down, Steve's Chip, and my Luke and Larry. Short run that ended with a cat in the tree with a face full of porcupine quills. Doug took this cat. GOOD JOB DOUG!!!!!
This made 5 caught cats in 7 days.
