Hey guys I am new to the forum. Been a North Idaho hound hunter for six years now. Mostly bears but trying hard to get rigged up for cat hunting. My uncle was a houndsmen for over 20 years and I have been hunting with a couple of very good old houndsmen since day one. I have 3 Walker dogs, 2 redbones, and pup that is an English/Walker/Bluetick cross. Believe it or not the old lady and kids love the hound hunting almost as much as I do. My girls are 6 and 8 and they got to stand 15 feet from a 300lb bear in an old mine shaft this spring, right behind the dogs that were baying like crazy. They loved it and so did I! Not many kids can go to school and tell a story like that!

Good to hear from a fellow houndsmen in north idaho. Always looking for some one to hook up with on a good hunt. My wife and two kids enjoy getting out with me and the dogs. I have Walker/blood/blue two year old litter mates. Seven year old walker,Four month old walker female pup. Life is what you make it,we make it exiting.
