If you have a strong back Horseshoeing is a good career. I had to quit because of my back but there is plenty of work out there. Around here a shoe job goes for between $80-$125 a horse. A trim $35. When you get to know what you are doing takes an hour plus drive time to shoe a horse and 20 minutes to do a trim. A person can work as much as they want to or as little as they want to.

That's probably the secret right there. Find something you like doing where eventually you can be your own boss, or at least work on the side. I'm a cement mason, and works usually slower during hunting seasons. But in the summer, I usually work 10-16hrs/day both for an employer and side jobs, when I'm lucky.

Started up LawnCare / Landscaping last year. Had a great Season as far as I'm concerned, Had Enough Customers to make the bills, plus cover my expenses into start-up. VERY cut-throat business though, everyone with a damn lawnmower thinks they can go cut grass for a living. Little do they realize the things that can go wrong, not like cutting your own grass where if you mess up its nop big deal. People sue for lawns getting ruined or killed off. Anyhow Loved, hope to make a little more this year so I can buy a plow truck for winter season.

I hunt Coon and bobbies.... :beer

that is exactly my point ,If you are Smart, can Hustle , Like to work , No problem picking up side CASH jobs . I am retired ,but I do Handyman work , Landscaping , Snow plowing , runs to the dump , cutting up downed trees , selling firewood . Whatever it takes to feed and maintain the hounds , pay for my hunting trips , or buying new toys .plenty of work out there if you want it and chase it down . It took a while but most of my work / jobs comes from customer references.

those all sound like good jobs,i think bein a hermit back in the hills would be the best, maybe live on the river with the hounds, runnin trap lines and trot lines and then coon hunt all night,oh yaa that would be fine with me :D...if only there was some smokin girls back in the hills :(

the bankers daughters mom wants me to come trap their coyotes foxes and bobcats tho...that could work since it is on my way to school
